About
Carissa and Nick's Story
The idea for The Stretch Garden originated during a family vacation in Colorado. We were fortunate to be together in the stunning mountains, enjoying skiing, hiking, and snowboarding. By the end of the first day, Nick was sore and needed a good stretch. We stacked a couple of ottomans, and Carissa gave him an assisted stretch session. The next morning, he was back on his board feeling fantastic. Later that week, while gathered around a fire, we brainstormed the concept of opening our own stretch studio. As we excitedly shared ideas and completed each other’s sentences, it became clear that this was our calling. We were ready to start a family business dedicated to providing soothing recovery through our own studio.
Shortly after, we decided to enhance our assisted stretching services with therapeutic modalities that complement muscular recovery. By incorporating salt, heat, light, and cold, we created a comprehensive space for recovery and rejuvenation.
Nick and Carissa have always been passionate about health and fitness, sharing their knowledge and practicing their techniques. The combination of Nick’s business and athletic background with Carissa’s holistic and fitness expertise led to the creation of The Stretch Garden. Here, people find relief and rejuvenation in the serene environment of our North Fork studio.

A true restorative detoxification and reset for your mind and body. This practice is regularly practiced in health spas around the world. The detox of the liver and skin resorts circulation often relieving people of cold numbness in fingers and toes while restoring the vitality in the skin and de-stressing the mind and muscles.
